Develop and propose sustainable products and solutions
By integrating the notion of sustainability at every stage of its value chain. Thanks to its greenhouse gas emissions assessment, ABEO knows its carbon footprint and is working on concrete actions: from a responsible purchasing policy to the development of maintenance services, via eco-design and the reduction of its energy consumption.

Our Responsible Purchasing Policy
ABEO's Purchasing Code is regularly updated to stay in line with regulatory changes, and it is shared with its key suppliers. As part of its raw material sourcing, the Group prioritizes suppliers that are geographically close to its production sites, ensuring sustainable resource management and working to reduce or eliminate hazardous substances from their materials, such as phthalate-free PVC for Gymnova mats.
Our Eco-Design Approach
Life Cycle Analyses (LCA) of products are carried out within all three ABEO Divisions to determine where brands should focus to significantly improve their impact. LCAs have already been conducted on an EP climbing wall, a France Equipement sanitary cabin, and a Gymnova reception pit. The companies, attentive to customer needs, regulatory changes, and supply chain risks, collaborate with the Group's R&D Department on eco-design and adapting their offerings.
Our Actions to Reduce Energy Use
ABEO continually works on optimizing its industrial processes to reduce power consumption. For certain production sites like ACEP and ACSA, this is reflected through an environmental management system based on the ISO 14001 standard. The ACMAN site has implemented an energy monitoring system that measures the energy consumption of each workstation, particularly off-production consumption, in order to limit it as much as possible.
Our Actions to Reduce Waste
The choice of raw materials, minimum order quantities, and manufacturing waste are key focus areas for the Group's production sites to minimize waste, especially hazardous waste. Commercial companies are also encouraged to reduce and sort office waste. Additionally, ABEO partners with the French organization "Ateliers Sans Frontières", which collects its IT equipment for recycling or giving it a second life.
Our Services for More Sustainable Products
In addition to their product offerings, some brands have developed maintenance and repair services, such as Janssen-Fritsen, EP Climbing, and NAVIC. The company Sportsafe is even fully dedicated to these services: it supplies, installs, maintains, and inspects sports equipment for more than 10,000 clients in the United Kingdom, including schools, sports centers, fire departments, police, and public health organizations.
